Print & Web / Mini crit / Re-written Brief

PRINT & WEB / OUGD504
MINI GROUP CRIT.
ISTD - '100'

I explained to the group my initial ideas regarding the celebratory royal telegram for a 100th birthday as well as added on products and gift sets that could be available for those wanting to purchase on behalf of the celebrant. (
This would mean the main focus of my brief would be the printed side).
I want to breath new life into the Royal telegram that is detained to those approaching the age of one hundred as well as having added items that can either be in conduction with the telegram or are available to family and friends to purchase for the recipient.

Printed memorabillia / gifts could cover a range of items such as:
- Food / Beverage (tea and biscuits)
- Chocolates
- Walking sticks
- Fluffy toys
- Tea towels
- Blankets
- Broaches / Pins
- Ties / Socks / Scarves / Tie clip
- Ornaments

Im still unsure on the ways in which these items would be delivered and how they would be made accessible.

For the web side of my brief i explained that i would want to create a page that the celebrants would be able to sign up to (with the help of family and friends if needed) to which they can the add a head shot of themselves as well a details from their life they wish to share. If the celebrants wanted, they could also pass on an image of themselves of when they were younger for a sense of nostalgia and a realisation on all they have done through out their lives.
I have not really had too much thought on the subject of the online side, so this is something i am hoping to gain thoughts and opinions on.

FEEDBACK

- The idea of making a bigger deal of the achievement is a good one and the printed aspects sound like they would fit the purpose well.

-Ensure to stay within a royal aesthetics and stay true to the feel Britishness.

- It was pointed out to me (I was unaware of this) that to get the telegram from the queen you have to apply off your own bat.
This in its self made me realise more so that not enough recognition is given to those that reach the age of 100.

- This also made me realise that I need to start and research in to the system that is already in place so i can then capitalise on this and make my products genuine to the tradition.

- While I was explaining the web side of my proposal the word 'Archive' was used by on and this is the exact this I was trying to describe.

THINGS I NEED TO THINK ABOUT

- How would the items be received
Through the celebrant family completely or from the Queen along with the telegram?
(Or a bit of both?)

- Look into royal memorabilia that already exists

- wht do you want to print and how are you going to do it?
