After coming up with thoughts and idea on possible pages that would make up my website, as a group we discussed what we had come up with.

We indicated that having to many unnecessary pages will distract the audience and will result in them becoming annoyed and un-interested. Obviously this is not the desired effect you would wish to have for your webpage.

It was also pointed out that having visible contact information on the home page makes it easier for people to interact with he company and means they do not have to specifically search through the website looking for means of contact. This is also relevant when looking at webpages on a tablet of phone.

When creating sub-catagories it is important to make sure that this is necessary. If you don't really have a large number of items, there is not much pint in categorising them as this would result in having annoying pages that only house two or three product or images.

An 'About' page is a very integral part when representing a company or business as this supplies information to which many potential customers will look to when deciding whether to get use your service or not.  Information on this page can present the businesses ethics, production methods and awards.
After having this discussion with the rest of the group, it made me realise this ins and outs of setting up a website are much more complex and considerable. Because of this I then re-thought the possible layout and workings of my web page making the simperer and more efficient regarding navigation.

After specifying our proposed web pages we were then asked to do a few quick sketches on possible layouts for some of the pages you had come up with previously. I did some very very ruff drafts on my primary ideas on what I feel are possible visualisations on potential webpages.

To gather feed back tables with in the group switched around and were handed post-it notes to which we could wright are first impressions and opinions on the proposed sketches from another table.

I found this task very helpful because even though it is relatively early on into the brief, The feedback from others is very valuable at this early stage. It helps you to make decisions but it also helps you to understand what others think and see in your ideas. They may point out something you had over looked or identified something that may help to improve or develop your initial ideas. It also questions you choices which in turn makes you think further into the possibilities as well as become more specific and therefor more efficient.
