TURKISH DELIGHT
These photographs would come in very useful when talking about the 3 main categories of traditional hokum. i have photographs to choose on depending on what looks best and works best.
TRADITIONAL TURKISH DELIGHT / LOKUM
This is the most commonly known form of turkish delight and it is said that Haci Bekir actually invented this type of lokum bak in the 17 century. This hokum comes in many different flavours, the more traditional being flavours such as Rose and lemon to favours that have emerged more recently such as banana and apple.

NOUGAT LOKUM
Nougat Lokum and a denser texture than the traditional sorts. It has a feel of marshmallow in a way and comes in many different flavours that suit the milkier texture such as vanilla and chocolate or nuttier flavours such as pistachio

SULTANAS LOKUM
Sultans lokum is names after the Sultans of the ottoman Empire shoe ruled like kings. It is named after them because of the size and 'over the top' nature these delights have and, of course, because of this they were a favourite of lokums to the more powerful as they could afford such specialities.
This Turkish Delight can either be made from a traditional mixture or nougat mixture and is spread with whatever flavours cream or spread and rolled tightly.

HACI BEKIR SHOP
For people to get an aesthetic of the actual store. Also the fact that the original Haci Bekir store is still operation in the same premises from once it was first established back in 1777 is an incredibly rare and precious thing in todays world. I think it is important to expose and enhance the amazing journey this business has come on.
Obviously I can't get Primary images for this, however there are plenty online so I chose some that I felt would be the most appropriate.
I like the colours used to enhance this image and how it only gives a glance of the workings in the shop.
I love this images just because of the richness of the history that is coming from it.
Obviously there are no images of Haci Bekir, this is the only image available which was originally a painting.
I like this image because, even though you are not familiar with the store you know straight away which store is the focus due the historic and almost odd looking placed in its surroundings
I really Like this image as I feel the fact that the people blurred working past the store is a symbol of how the world is moving in and evolving yet the constant is the shop in the back ground which has stood strong and success full through all the developments and changes that surrounds it.
This image was taken straight from the original Haci bekir webpage. I absolutely love the authenticity and culture that is displayed. I think that having an image like this would be very effective as it is so diverse from what is normal for us in the Western world.

TURKISH PATTERNS / PRIMARY PHOTOS
I wanted to look at Turkish Patterns because I wanted to use this kind on aesthetic with in my webpage to hold the culture and ethos of the company. i first looked at patterns that i had found while in Turkey that may be helpful when coming up with possible designs.
I like the floral patterns that seem faded and are often only created with one colour. This way i feel that a background would be aesthetically suitable and appealing but won't cause and distraction to the information on the page.
I looked online for interlinking patterns and found multiple ones that I really like. i THINK i will look further into recreating patterns like this for my webpage.
TYPEFACES
I started to look at possible typefaces that would deem relevant to the aesthetics and ethos of the Haci Bekir company.
